L.A. Taylor lives in Minneapolis. She has been writing most of her life. Her poetry collection, Changing the Past, won a Minnesota Voices Award in 1981. She has published many additional poems, several dozen short stories (both mainstream and genre), and eight novels, including one science fiction novel, The Blossom of Erda, and seven mystery novels. Her ninth novel, Cat's Paw, which she describes as "more or less a fantasy," is due out from Berkeley in March 1995.
